Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make McCoy Vision Clinic the leading provider of vision care products and services in Salem.

Dr. Bill McCoy

Dr. McCoy has been providing vision care to the Salem area for over 30 years. That is something he is proud of. Knowing he will be there when you need him means a lot. His office is “state-of-the-art” and strives to provide the latest high-tech equipment, as well as a warm, comfortable atmosphere. There is a constant effort by Dr. McCoy and his staff to make sure your eye care experience is one that makes you feel like a guest, not a patient. Dr. McCoy started his optometric education at Drury College in Springfield, Mo. then was accepted to the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. After graduation, Dr. McCoy and his wife moved to Salem and bought the practice of Dr. John Hamilton.

Bet Conway

Bet is a certified optician who has been with Dr. McCoy since he started his practice in Salem. Bet is well-qualified to work with any type of lens on the market today. Bet is meticulous when it comes to fabrication of over 100 pairs of glasses each month. She makes sure each pair of glasses meets and exceeds all your expectations. If there are any special needs that you request for your eyewear, don’t hesitate to ask Bet.

Beulah Chilton

Beulah is also a certified optician and has over 25 years of experience in the optical field. She knows her stuff! She also handles many of the insurance questions and information that is required on many of the medical and vision plans that we accept. Because of her experience, she can do just about any job in the office. That is why we call her our “Girl Friday.”

Suzanne McCoy

Suzanne works in the business office and is rarely seen by patients. She does the payroll and writes the checks and pays the bills. She started working in the office after the kids got older and left the nest. By the way, she is the doctor’s wife.

Chelsey Miller

Chelsey has been with the practice for five years. She is a home-town girl and already familiar with many of our patients. She does a lot of work in the area of contact lenses. Her job also involves pretesting our patients, scribing and frame selection. She recently got married and had a beautiful baby girl Evelyn and plans to stay in Salem. Her parents stay busy running the Common Grounds restaurant.

Christin Tackett

Christin has been part of office staff for the last six months. Although she is new, she comes to us with vast experience in the healthcare field. Christin was born and raised in Eminence, Missouri but recently moved to Salem about three years ago. Her husband Jarred works for Doe Run and they have three wonderful children. As our receptionist, Christin is the first person you will see when you walk through our door. Her pleasant smile and warm personality will  make your day!

Geraldine Enloe

Although Geraldine is the newest member of our team, she is just as eager as the rest to help you with all of your optical needs! Geraldine was born and raised in Ellington, Missouri but now lives in Timber, Missouri with her husband David and their two beautiful children, Andria (14), and Nathan (10). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family or helping her husband manage Ozark Forest Mushrooms in Timber. Geraldine enjoys helping each patient select the perfect frame and would be more than happy to assist you with your visit to the clinic!

Caitlin Corkell

Caitlin is also new to the practice but is catching on quickly. She came to us with experience in law enforcement, but has decided to leave the bad guys behind and is ready to help you achieve the clearest vision possible! Caitlin has lived in Salem her whole life and hopes to stay here and possibly start a career in optometry. She has four beautiful children and her husband Daniel works for Kienstra Ready Mix. She likes to spend her weekends at the shooting range or simply spending time with her family. Whether you’re coming in for an annual exam, or need assistance selecting the perfect frame, she will be more than happy to help you!
